Funeral Parade of Roses (Blu-ray) BFI

Toshio Matsumoto writes and directs this Japanese drama set in the gay underground of 1960s Tokyo. Transgender woman Eddie (Peter) works at a gay bar managed by drug dealer Gonda (Yoshio Tsuchiya). She competes with her co-worker Leda (Osamu Ogasawara) for Gonda’s affections until a shocking revelation leaves them facing some terrible choices.

The cast also includes Emiko Azuma and Toyosaburo Uchiyama.
