In the late 1980s, Harlem drug dealer Nino Brown (Snipes) sees that crack cocaine is the drug of the future and over the next three years his gang, the Cash Money Brothers, takes over the area’s drug trade. Detective Scotty Appleton (Ice-T), whose mother was killed by Nino, vows to apprehend the kingpin and goes undercover to bring him down from the inside when the operation goes awry.
