In 1851, Elvira (Peterson) and her maid Zou Zou (Mary Jo Smith) are on their way to France when they find themselves in trouble in Romania.

After they are forced to leave the inn they were staying in, they are rescued by Dr. Bradley Bradley (Scott Atkinson) who takes them to nearby Castle Hellsubus.

However, Elvira bears an uncanny resemblence to the deceased wife of the sinister Lord Vladimere Hellsubus (Richard O’Brien) and soon finds herself in danger.

Will she and Zou Zou succeed in escaping the cursed castle and finally reach Paris, where Elvira is due to perform in a can-can revue?
