Classic adventure drama directed by Ernest B. Schoedsack. Jill Young (Lora Lee Michel/Terry Moore) grew up in Tanzania with her beloved baby gorilla, Joe. Now an adult, Jill is approached by promoter Max O’Hara (Robert Armstrong) who persuades her to become part of a show which will star her and Joe at his Hollywood nightclub, promising her fame and fortune. Although the show is a success, and Joe becomes Hollywood’s biggest nightclub attraction, the situation soon gets out of hand when a caged and homesick Joe is provoked by drunks, leading him to break out of his hold and create havoc. Will Jill be able to save him and take him back home to Africa?
